Why Study in Chile?

Thank author of this post/comment

Studying abroad, if you have the chance, is something that you should not let pass by. Wherever you choose to study, the added knowledge and experience that you will get by studying overseas is something that will be valuable to you in later life when you decide to take a place in the workplace. Employers view students who have studied as abroad as having the will to try things that are unfamiliar, a positive value in any employer's books.

Choosing to study in Chile is not a bad choice either, as it has so much to offer to the academic world. In particular, the country is notedfor its strong literary culture, with the help of two Nobel Prize-winning authors: Pablo Neruda and Gabriel Mistral. Filmmaker Raul Ruiz, painter Roberto Matta, and pianist Claudio Arrau are also among the performance artists highly regarded within the country.

The country's highly diverse landscapes also allow students much room to study geography and topography, while at the same time enjoying the chance to visit any of the tourist destinations when classes are not on. Add to that the country's biological diversity and we have a perfect platform for environmental studies.

The Chilean government is also increasing its budget for science and technology research, which could leave a room for future science & technology majors around.

But for some of you, the most useful thing that you could get out of studying in Chile has to be the opportunity to study and practice your Spanish at a high level. As they say, there's no better way to be able to learn a language than practicing it with the locals. Yes, you might get tongue-twister once in a while especially when the locals start to speak in Spanish a bit faster that what you have been used to, but practice will always make it perect. Attending universities here will give you that chance you have always wanted.
